One of the most important centres for gliders in France is based at the Challes-les-Eaux airport. It is also an important training centre.

One needs at least 20 to 30 hours training before qualifying to fly under supervision, and a further 10 to 15 hours extra before qualifying for a pilot’s license. When the weather is fine and if the fancy takes you, why not try an introductory lesson. The 350 members of the club would be only too happy to share their passion for flying.
